The program of the 9 th I²CS will offer a great opportunity to present community aspects seen from different views, to exchange best practise, and to perform close networking. The main auditory will offer about 100 seats. The detailed programm will be structured and announced after the evaluation of contributions. Do not miss the the paper submission deadline on February 15, 2009.

Presentation Sessions

The main track is formed by individually presentations based on the submitted papers. A session will consist of two to three oral slide presentations dedicated to a certain topic. Each speaker will be given a 20 to 30 minutes time slot, including a five minutes discussion.

Meet your session chair in advance to agree the final settings. For your convenience a conference PC, running Microsoft Powerpoint and audio equipment will be available.


The keynote speaker will introduce the motto of the 9 th I²CS "Tradition meets Innovation" and build the bridge between research and industries. If you want to know more, come to Jena and listen.

Invited Talks

Two invited talks of about one hour each will extend the horizon of community aspects. Expect the unexpected from a new prospective.

Panel Session

A joint panel session will allow to discuss contrary positions with the auditory. Feel free to apply early for a seat in the panel by sending an e-mail to the conference program committee via .

Social Events

Do not miss them, there is no better way for networking at all. Form a very special community during the conference. The city of Jena and its surroundings offer a great atmosphere at cozy places. There will be an early welcome reception at Saturday night, the come together on Monday, and the conference dinner on Tuesday. For participants the events will be included in the conference fee.
